TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of Use

At part-wholesalers.com  we strive to describe our parts accurately so customers can make informed buying decisions. We sell a diverse line of auto parts that range in price as well as quality. All auto parts are guaranteed to arrive at the shipping address in the condition as stated at the time of purchase. Our parts are guaranteed to function properly in accordance to age, mileage, and intended design, unless otherwise noted in the item description. Some parts, as noted in their item description, are not meant for installation, but rather for rebuilding purposes. This standard limited warranty expires 90 days unless specified by a part rep from the date the part arrives. The buyer agrees that all warranties are void if the part has been improperly installed or the vehicle after installation is not maintained in accordance to the manufacturer’s recommendations. All warranties are void if the vehicle after installation is abused, vandalized, involved in an accident, or used for racing or off road purposes.

Color & Finish

The color in the item description is not guaranteed to match and is only meant to give the installer an idea of what kind of background he or she will be painting onto. Paint damage such as scratches or scuffs are not mentioned on major body parts such as front end assemblies, doors, quarter panels, rear clips, fenders, or bumpers. Typically on small body parts such as mirrors, lights, wheels, and spoilers paint damage is mentioned in the item description and/or the condition.

Condition

Few body parts come ready to be bolted to the vehicle and generally require cleaning, painting, and finishing. For body parts the condition refers to how many units of damage the item has. 1 unit of damage is approximately 6 square inches, which is the size of a common credit card (3” x 2”). A unit of damage does not indicate the amount of repair time. An average ding is less than ½ of a credit card. For example, if a door has 2 dings, the condition is normally rounded up to 1 unit of damage. If a wheel has 3 edge scuffs each 3” by 1”, then the condition is 1.5 units. Sometimes body parts, especially wheels may have additional units of damage included in its condition based on subjective characteristics such as brake dust, fade, or clear peeling.

The condition for mechanical parts refers to the mileage. The two types of mileage codes are actual and estimated. The most common method of determining mileage is simply observing what is indicated on the speedometer. If the speedometer does not function or is missing, the mileage is retrieved from the bill of sale, salvage certificate, or last serviced paperwork. Estimates are generally the number of years the vehicle has been on the road multiplied by 12,000 miles. For example, a vehicle 5 years old would be estimated at 60,000 miles. Estimates are necessary when the speedometer does not function and the insurance company did not indicate the mileage on the salvage certificate. The mileage will end with three zeros when estimated. Sometimes the mileage is initially estimated, but is changed afterwards after the actual mileage is discovered.

Information Submission

The buyer agrees that all information submitted on our website shall be complete and accurate, and shall not submit anything that is misleading or fraudulent. In particular, the vehicle identification number submitted must correspond to the vehicle being repaired or improved. The buyer understands that submitting any incorrect information may cause the wrong part to be sent and as a result, additional handling fees above and beyond the standard restocking and shipping costs may be charged. The buyer has read all interchange options and understands all abbreviations that are applicable. In addition, the buyer has completely read the part definition and item description.

Installation Requirement

Most parts for today’s vehicles require special tools, knowledge, and diagnostics equipment. The buyer agrees to ensure the installer is willing to install used parts and has the means necessary to install the part properly. Engines, transmissions, carriers, rear axle assemblies, front axle assemblies, radiators, and power steering pumps are drained in accordance to federal, state, and local laws. The buyer understands that all parts as applicable need to be filled to the proper levels of new oil, transmission fluid, gear lube, anti-freeze, and or other fluids in accordance to the manufacturer’s specifications. Failure to follow proper installation procedures voids all warranties.
